If you have been searching for a great instant messaging client, we have good news for you — eBuddy for Android just may be what you have been looking for. We've searched long and hard for a quality Android instant messenger and eBuddy now has our attention, especially being absolutely free in the Android Market!

For starters, if you are looking to combine your AIM along with MSN and GTalk, eBuddy has you covered. It supports chat for all 3 of those clients I just mentioned along with Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo, and ICQ. Even better it combines all of your separate buddy lists into one single list for you which is a nice touch.

eBuddy does run in the background, with minimal battery drain, so you do get your messages instantly. It also does include audio notifications for new messages, status updates, emoticons, and automatic reconnect if their internet connection is lost.

I personally have been using this application for about a week now and can honestly say I enjoy using it more than any other IM app available on the Android Market but this does not mean there is no room for improvement. Features such as having the ability to send pictures would be a nice feature for a future update.

You really have nothing to lose, give eBuddy a shot and let us know what you think!
