Neck pillows with batteries. Is nothing sacred anymore? (And were all the renders newer than the HTC Desire taken?)
Behold, the PowerUp Pillow. Currently going for a $25 pledge on Kickstarter.
I'd use it.
Does it vibrate.
Only as the rechargeable lithium-polymer battery pack inside an insulated pillow starts to overheat and expand.
The visuals that accompany your statement are indescribable. LOL
I mean, if you're already carrying a neck pillow on a flight, why carry a power pack in addition to it? I'd never use one, but I've never used a neck pillow either.
Are you unable to hold your head up when you're at the gym? Or when you're leaning against a wall? HAVE I GOT THE SOLUTION FOR YOU!
I also love how this thing — a battery pack inside a U-shaped pillow — isn't going to ship until November/December.
Good luck getting it on a plane. TSA will have a field day with that.
What's inside of your pillow sir!? As they cut it open seeing something inside it from the xray while flattening you to the ground with 50,000 volts
Feel the money for this could have been better spent as a Belt battery

"Let's think of some contrived use cases, have everybody give thumbs up for no reason and back it with some techno music! That'll make them buy our product!"
I absolutely need this.

Did anyone ask for this?
It's ideas like this that made Skymall the global monolith it is today.
The bankrupt skymall?
Yes the backrupt Skymall. It's ideas like this that made Skymall the global monolith it is today.
No, I think Skymall actually filed for bankruptcy like a month or two ago.
"I'm da Blur boys!" - Me with 1200 ping. Fiber in Nashville? Save me based Google.
I imagine if this battery does explode it would be far worse than what happens when phones blow up inside of pants...
Well, personally I think it's great to have and will come to great use, but only once I get through the surgery which installs a hard drive in my head (Johnny Mnemonic?), simultaneously charge myself while I nap!
Seems like a product out of the skymall magazine. Somebody out there will have one of these :-D
Sky mall went bankrupt for a reason
"2500-30000mAh lithium-polymer battery power bank "
That's a heck of a range there. I guess they want to cover all bases? "It might power your entire house! Or maybe just your travel alarm clock. We don't know yet.". It's an existing product shoved into another existing product. Working out details like this shouldn't be rocket science.
Crowdfunding just jumped the shark...
This would be a great idea for flights, except I can't see it getting past security. That is about the only use for it that I can see.
Where do you live?
On my last flight out of London heathrow I had 4 laptops, 36 android phones, and 22 10,000mAh power banks in my carry on luggage, security wanted to take a look in my bag, but they let me through, one extra pillow is not gonna get you kicked from a flight.
Hey, pretty much my favorite built phone I've ever had. The optical track ball was great for a dude like me, that thing always worked when my hands were super dirty at work. Some days I think it would be ok for that to come back. Selecting text is still a pain in the ass when my fat fingers are dirty.
I can see this going horribly wrong when someone falls asleep on one, the unit overheats, and melts to the poor bastards neck.
I don't see its use. For every place I see the use of a neck pillow I see an outlet that will charge without strapping a battery around my neck.

I would definitely get one of these.
I hope they also bring out an accessory in the form of a 300,000 mah super-battery and 2-stroke generator fitted inside a bespoke 100 kg trolley conveniently chained to the neck pillow which trails behind you. A great neck excerciser.
They are not the only ones full of great ideas!
I hope it's water resistant. If not, droolers beware.
What about washing the sweet and smell out after prolonged use (-: people will buy anything.
LOL, They changed the HTC Desire to a Samsung GS6! Who says the news doesn't affect people's lives
