Designed to mitigate damage like a boss, the OtterBox Defender Case for Moto G 2015 steps up the protection unlike any other.
The OtterBox Defender isn't a case that most users would instantly opt for due to its rather bulky form. Those who can appreciate its incredible protection and additional grip, though, will enjoy everything the Defender has to offer. Featuring 2 durable layers, an integrated screen protector, and a matching belt holster to boot, this rugged combo is the real deal.
The inner-most layer is made of a 2-piece polycarbonate that snaps together around the Moto G 2015, the front cover featuring a built-in screen protector. Each edge has a couple clamps to secure the shell around the device with cutouts for the charging and auxiliary ports. Wrapped around that layer is a synthetic rubber slipcover that provides ample grip to prevent drops. The side buttons are raised on this layer, extended through the polycarbonate shell for an accurate press. Port plugs keep dust and debris from getting in, but can be cut off if they're more of a nuisance.
The rugged belt clip holster comes included with the package, not requiring you to purchase it separately. There are 5 arms to keep the Moto G 2015 secured inside, and you can snap it in screen side out, but will have a better fit with it facing in. The spring clip on the back can be rotated a complete 360° for optimal comfort, too. The clip accommodates belts up to 1.75-inches in width.
The OtterBox Defender Case for the Moto G 2015 feels great to use if you don't mind the extra bulk. It's awesome against impacts at any angle, and the screen protector does a decent job at keeping the display scratch free without reducing clarity or touchscreen accuracy. As with most integrated protectors, it'll occasionally need to be cleaned underneath as debris seems to find its way in over time. The Defender comes with a 1 year warranty and is available for $49.95.
