Gah the phone is really nice. I wish there wasn't a ram difference between this and the sensation because I've held both, and you can really tell.

I'll be one of the people coming from webOS. Long live the Pre, but I have to see what Android is all about before I can consider going back to the webOS ecosystem. Hello, EVO 3D! :)

I am with you there. My family had all moved on to android over the last year, and although I really do miss webOS I knew it was time. Especially with nothing announced from HP for Sprint.

I really don't understand what everyone's problem is with the 3d... I fu¢¥#@ luv it. Please, anyone who has a problem... Show me a better phone ;-)

derek5l says:

I second that.

Dagnillo says:

My problem is not with the phone (which I love), but with the GPS. I haven't found out what the cause is yet, but my GPS has a horrible time locking onto my phone. This could be a deal breaker if it's not resolved :(

jonyah says:

This was a problem for my EVO 4g. The GPS on my 3D works perfect.

Yeah, I remember when the evo 4g launched there were people on the forum writing about the same problem. Its probably a hardware issue if anything, and I would take it to sprint to replace if it keeps acting up.

Savoy says:

I freaking love mine too. It is really an amazing phone and I've been enjoying every minute of it since wednesday.

I third that!!! 3D ROCKS!!!!!

crxssi says:

Well, the Evo 3D rocks. It is nice, it is FAST, it is feature packed. But the "3D", itself certainly does not. All it does is make my eyes hurt badly. So I just ignore that "feature".

Otherwise, my problems with the Evo 3D so far:

1) The icon bug where apps on the SD card have no icons when you reboot.

2) The font sizes were not adjusted when they upped the resolution of the screen! So now *everything* is smaller. And on things like the Google Market, you can't adjust fonts or zoom. My eyes are not what they used to be.

3) I very much dislike the too-easy and long spinning of the sense page scroller. And there is apparently no option to turn it back to the old behavior of Sense 2.

Loving everything about the 3vo!!!

I am loving everything about my EVO 3D. By far the best phone I've played with in a while. IPhone yu might wonna watch your back. HTC is hunting you down slowly.

Got EVO 3d on Friday gotta say I love it.... Had that problem where app icons would change but after hard reset issue is gone... Came from EVO 4g gotta say u can feel and see differences... So MY opinion so far is that HTC did it again...

crxssi says:

No, the issue is not gone. It will come back after every reboot until they fix it.

bigga85 says:

My only problem is that it keeps rebooting in the middle of doing something. Anybody else is having that problem?

crxssi says:

No. You probably have to reseat your battery and/or clean the contacts.

pDoG says:

Can anyone confirm the actual megapixels of the main camera?

crxssi says:

Megapixels are meaningless

I believe 5 for both rear cams. Photos are Eh, definitely a downgrade from the Evo4g

crxssi says:

The still photos are about the same quality as the Evo 4G... which is to say, kinda cell-phonish.

But the VIDEO is *much* better. Faster, smoother... nice

Upgraded from my Evo 4g and I'm so excited I did. The Evo is awesome, the Evo3d is Freakin Awesome. Everything that held the Evo back from true greatness the Evo3d has to offer. Not to say this device is perfect, I mean lets face it, Android has a lot of software issues. I haven't had any issues yet but I know they are coming. As far as the 3d, it really sucks, and makes my eyes bleed. But that's not the reason you get the Evo3d, you get it because it's a better Evo and hands down the best Sprint has to offer.

P.s. There was suppose to be a free copy of the Green Hornet in 3D (a movie I really didn't wanna see, or wouldn't pay to see)that does not work. WTF? I just wanted to see how the 3d effects for this device looked when watching 3d movies and I wasn't able to do so. Oh well I still really really really like my new device.

I found green hornet on original SD card that came wit phone...

My 2 cents coming from Evo 4G to Evo 3D:

Pros:
3D (it's cool for pix)
Camera is better (flash is better implemented for night shots)
Screen display looks and feels better (minor touch lag)
Sense lockscreen is useful
Batter life is a lot better than Evo 4G
1GB Ram (Big plus for me with 100+ apps installed)

Cons:
No kick stand
Camera could be improved (better than Evo 4G still)
Sense 3.0 is not worth the buzz except lockscreen
No NFC chip (not future proof)
3D content is lacking (we need 3D central)

Overall it's a good phone. I was debating Galaxy S2 vs Evo 3D and I have to say; I like the 3D and wouldn't want to lose it for a feature which Galaxy S2 might have (such as NFC).

I brought my HTC EVO a year ago. I'm reading a lot of people are jumping from Evo to EVO 3d. I'm guessing they are paying $450 or more to do so since this phone has only been out one year and in most cases people signed two year deals to get into the EVO. Its (EVO 3d)clearly a better phone, but its not $400 plus better. I'll wait until I'm eligible for a full discount before I go phone hoping. Lets face it. The HTC EVO is not exactly chop liver.

Alex1x says:

Hint: How to view 3D;

I noticed holding the phone away from my face makes 3D more desirable. Holding the phone too close can get blurry and strain the eyes. Hold it out in front of you at arms length and no strained eyes.
I also noticed some 3D content is better than others. Even taking pics/vid it comes out different. I hold the phone out at arms lenght before taking the pictures and 8/10 my photos/vid looks great!

Love it! Miss cm7 but I can wait. Can you imagine an 80 MB cm7 on this 1gb phone? Wowwwwwww!

if you sell your evo for 250 the upgrade is $200, which is what a new contract price is
