MetroPCS customers can now use their phones in Canada for just $5 a month

MetroPCS has announced that its customers are now able to use their phones throughout Canada for just $5 a month. Instead of having to subscribe to the $10 a month World Calling feature, and the $5 a month Value Bundle for international text messaging, customers now just pay a flat fee to use their calls, texts and data allotment in Canada like they would the U.S. Back in July, MetroPCS began allowing customers to use data in Mexico in the same way, and its now expanding to Canada.

T-Mobile, the parent company of MetroPCS, also offers its customers the ability to use their phones in Mexico and Canada without worrying about overages and roaming fees. MetroPCS customers who are on a rate plan of $40 a month or higher cn add the new feature to their account beginning December 18.
