Marvel's Avengers has been out for a couple months, but it launched with a lot of bugs and other issues. We noted in our Marvel's Avengers review that the game was buggy at launch, and we're hoping that Crystal Dynamics will be on top of those fixes, but there are a lot of issues, which makes sense with a game that wants to do as much as this one does. However, developers have made progress since launch. Here are some of the fixes that continue and the ones that have been fixed recently with patches.

Current issues

These are some of the issues that the team is currently working on via the subreddit. Others are reported by players.

  • Villian Sector missions come up as already completed and don't refresh.
  • Some Mission Chains not completing correctly.
  • Reports of crashes while refreshing Weekly Missions.
  • "Interrogation Anxiety" mission can't be completed.
  • A lot of PS4 trophy bugs.
  • Unlocked outfits reverting to "locked."
  • Skill point bugs.
  • Community challenges not updating in real-time.
  • Some players who owned game on PS4 digitally can't play on PS5.
  • Issues with Mega Hive not refreshing.

Issues we've had

A lot of the issues have been fixed but here are some of the bugs we've come across while playing.

  • Infinite loading screens, along with some generally slow loading.
  • Issue with fabrication machine mentioned above.
  • Game needs to be rebooted following crashed loading screens.
  • Textures don't load in immediately.
  • Some enemies appear invisible during combat.
  • Audio cues don't load in.
  • Audio cues repeat (the now infamous "Seriously, you're the best" repeat).
