LeEco, the Chinese internet conglomerate, has announced its foray into Indian brick and mortar retail stores as part of its ambitious expansion plans in India starting with the Le 1s.

As part of the first launch phase, LeEco will hit retail shelves in New Delhi and Mumbai, and in the second phase, the company plans to cover close to 70 percent retail stores across India that contribute to mobile sales by the end of September 2016.

Commenting on the occasion, Atul Jain, COO - Smart Electronics Business, LeEco India said:

We have fast-tracked our growth trajectory in India and our entry into the physical retail space affirms it. Since our India launch, we're thrilled to have seen an incredible response from users and this landmark announcement is a step ahead in making our super phones more accessible to our users. In the near future, also plan to have our own wholly owned retail stores across the country.

The LeEco smartphones were available exclusively on Flipkart as yet. LeEco has launched three phones in India since it arrived in January this year, and has recently launched its ecosystem membership program in the country which includes ecosystem services like LeEco Drive, LeMall, and more.
