Trident Cyclops Series case for HTC EVO 4G

If you're looking to strike the perfect balance between full-phone protection and still maintaining a slim phone, the Trident Cyclops Series Cases for HTC EVO 4G are the way to go. You're still getting all of the dust and particle-covering rubber that you get from some other offerings (like the Seidio CONVERT Combo) but without the same bulk and heft that mandates it goes on a belt holster.

The Trident Cyclops Series actually comes in two parts: the hard, plastic shell that surrounds your phone, and the rubberized skin that goes around the outside edges of the shell. The rubber feels fine in hand, and that's where you're actually getting all of your dust rejection powers. The rubber skin covers all of the open ports on the phone as well as volume rocker and power button, ensuring nothing gets in.

One of the cooler features of this case is that it comes with a built-in screen protector, not unlike the Otterbox Defender line of cases. When the phone is in the case, you can't even tell there's a thin plastic screen separating you from your phone's screen, but if you're anal like me, you'll be spending a lot of time trying to make sure there's no dust on the phone and the screen protector before finally locking your EVO inside.

Best part? You don't lose access to your kickstand! That might sound silly, but I use my kickstand often, so getting to keep my phone massively protecting and getting to flip out my kickstand at a moment's notice is too sweet a deal for me. You can pick up the Trident Cyclops Series Cases for HTC EVO 4G in the Android Central Store for $32.95.

looks cheap and ugly as sin. Seidio Active products much better IMO.

I've actually heard many reports of this case being better than the Otterbox commuter cases...

I was even once considering one of these instead....

I just orderd this for my nexus just for the dust resistance powers. I do agree though the active x is by for the best looking. But I hate dust.

This is a nominee for ugliest case award.

That looks thicker than many others I've seen. I'm starting my search for a good one for the EVO 3d now. Any ideas?

I have this one actually, and love it, it comes with a built in screen protector and its durable, i had to take it off for my battery extention, but it was great! I have white, and red

I have the tactical green colored version of this case. It is incredibly durable, and leaves no marks/residue on the evo like some other cases do. It slides out of my pocket well, the screen protector is great, and it feels good in the hand. My only gripe is the 3.5mm headphone jack port, which a lot of plugs won't fit. It comes with an adapter, but it really shouldn't have to..

The least they could do is put the case on correctly before taking pictures - note the right side above the fingers, they didn't push the rubber on all the way.

Gekko says:

maybe it's warped.

I've been using this case for several months now and it's excellent. It's sturdy, easy to grip, protects against bumps, scrapes, and even liquids to a large extent. One of the neat accessorizing aspects is what Trident calls "My Skins." You can get inexpensive different-colored rubberized outer pieces so a basic black case doubles as blue, yellow, red, white, orange, green, purple, and (ahem) pink.
Trident is prepared for heavy use as well. You can get replacement screen protector pieces if that part becomes scratched as well.
The case does make the Evo 3d thicker by a fair margin, but it will still fit in a standard shirt pocket. The extra thickness also protects the camera lens that, without the case, protrudes from the back of the unit.

I dig the wallpaper in the picture at the top. Anyone know where to get it?
