Verizon Wireless will offer two recent budget smartphones from HTC in the near future. One is the HTC Desire 526 starting on Thursday, August 13 for $120. The other phone is the HTC Desire 626, but a release date and price have yet to be revealed.
Verizon customers also have the option of paying for the HTC Desire 526 for $5 a month for 24 months. The 4.7-inch smartphone is a Verizon exclusive and has Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor running at 1.1 GHz. It has 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot for more storage. There's also an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera and a 2,000 mAh battery. The phone is currently available on the Verizon website as a pre-paid device for $89.99.
The HTC Desire 626 is a 5-inch smartphone with Lollipop, and like the 526 it also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor with a 1.1 GHz clock speed, along with 1.5GB of RAM. The storage is bumped up to 16GB. and it includes an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera and a 2,000 mAh battery.
