Grim Fandango Remastered brings the classic LucasArts adventure game to Android

The original version of the game was first released for Windows PCs in 1998, and was an instant critical success, and has since become known as one of the best video games of all time. The remastered version, which adds higher resolution textures, dynamic lighting and a live orchestra re-recording its soundtrack, has been launched by developer Double Fine. The company was founded by Tim Schafer, who was the project leader of the original Grim Fandango at the now defunct LucasArts.

Just in case you are unaware of the storyline behind the game, here's a quick description:

Something's rotten in the land of the dead, and you're being played for a sucker. Meet Manny Calavera, travel agent at the Department of Death. He sells luxury packages to souls on their four-year journey to eternal rest. But there's trouble in paradise. Help Manny untangle himself from a conspiracy that threatens his very salvation.

Normally the game will be priced at $14.99, in the Google Play Store, but for its launch week it will be on sale for just $9.99. It's worth every penny.
