GoToMeeting adds support for Android Wear in latest update

GoToMeeting

Citrix GoToMeeting has just been updated to take advantage of your Android Wear smartwatch. The update, which came out yesterday, introduces support smartwatch support.

Navigate to GoToMeeting in the Google Play Store and you'll now see the app at version 5.0.799.1306. Here's the super descriptive changelog for this update:

  • Participate in meetings via your smartwatch. No more fumbling around for your phone in your pocket or purse!

Grab the updated version of GoToMeeting from the Google Play Store and let us know what you think of the Android Wear support.

Hi, I'm Andy, a software engineer here at Citrix -- I was part of the development team for the Android Wear companion app for GoToMeeting. The companion app will allow you to start or join a meeting on your handheld device, mute/un-mute your mic and leave a meeting. We are also interested in adding audio and webcam viewing capabilities in the future once the hardware can support these processing-heavy features.

Don't understand how one would participate without using a phone or video camera (microphone and the equivalent speakers are kind of necessary to be involved, no?)
