OnePlus One will officially come to India after company signifies interest

OnePlus announced on its forums that it is interested in launching the OnePlus One in India someday, citing the device's popularity in the country. The hardware vendor mentioned that India currently ranks eighth in terms of overall traffic, outweighing several launch countries.

HTC offloads its clock app to Google Play, is finally available

HTC recently added its Clock to the list of apps it's moved into Google Play, and it looks like it's finally available for updating. (It had been floating around in Google Play for a few days but wasn't actually able to be updated for most folks.) Not sure if that's an offshoot of the Android 4.4.3 update the HTC One M8 is receiving, but the app quickly jumped from 5 to 10 downloads to the 5,000 to 1,000 range.

Right on schedule, unlocked and developer edition HTC One M8 devices in the U.S. are today receiving an update to Android 4.4.3 KitKat. The upgrade, which according to HTC also includes the security fixes rolled out in 4.4.4, is being pushed out over the air in the form of a 592MB update package.

Razer has confirmed that its up and coming Nabu wearable will integrate with the WeChat messaging service. The wearable is attempting to bind together both the smartwatch and fitness band, offering consumers a single product to carry out multiple tasks. The band itself is set to debut in China, before heading to the US and other targeted markets. As previously touched on, the retail price is expected to be less than $100.

Spice Retail CEO Devices T M Ramakrishnan announced that the device would be available before Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, which is celebrated this year on October 23.

Google Maps rolling out new 'Explore' button to reveal tailored local info

Google is adding a brand new way find out more about your surroundings in Google Maps with a new "Explore" feature. In the bottom right corner of the latest Google Maps app, you'll now notice a small location pin button next to the location button — tap it, and you'll be taken into the new Explore interface with information tailored to your location.

By default you'll see what's going on within a 5 minute walk and is relevant to the time of day and even the weather. You'll see events, restaurants, sightseeing locations, public transit information and more, powered by information from Zagat, your Google+ circles and of course Google's vast knowledge of local information. It's all very similar to what you'd expect to see from Google Now, but more on-demand based on when you hit the Explore button.
