LG bringing L Fino and L Bello to IFA, targeted at teens and emerging markets

LG has announced that it's bringing the L Fino and L Bello Android smartphones to the IFA conference in Berlin. These "powerful alternatives to higher-priced smartphones" are aimed for the teenage set and emerging 3G markets.

The phones are 4.5- and 5-inch models, for the L Fino and L Bello, respectively, skimping on on-board storage (4GB and 8GB totals) but bringing Android 4.4.2 and features like LG's excellent camera software (paired with 8-megapixel shooters), the Quick Circle case, KnockCode and more.

The LG L Fino and L Bello will first be released in Latin America, with countries in Europe, Asia, and CIS to follow.

Motorola Assist update brings important calendar and voice reply fix

Nuance brings Major League Soccer theme to Swype keyboards

Nuance announced that it is bringing themed Major League Soccer keyboards to Swype. The keyboards will work with both tablets and smartphones and are available now on the Google Play store through in-app purchases. Swype will be sold for $0.99 for a promotional period and the MLS themes are in-app purchase add-ons that will cost $1.99 each.

Welcome back to class, today's guest lecturer is Mr. Jingles...We've been over why you should use Google+, and now that we've covered Circles and Communities, it's time to go over something that's almost more important than either of them: Notifications. Yes, notifications in Google+ are important because they can make or break the Google+ experience for you. If you're always flooded with notifications, then you'll eventually drown in them and lose interest. If you don't get notifications often enough, you'll forget G+ is here, or think that no one is engaging you or your content, which makes you feel unwanted and leave. And nobody wants that.

Now, many of the settings and preferences I'm about to reveal are personal, but I will be trying to explain them and explain why you do or don't want to consider them in as objective a way as possible. Your mileage may vary.

Unity and Intel bring support for x86 to Android

According to today's press release "both graphics and CPU performance improvements and features, will be seamlessly integrated into future releases of the Unity 4 and Unity 5 product lines."
