Android 101: How to 'forget' a Wifi network

20

Wifi is a godsend. It gives fast, cheap data to these little devices in our pockets, and hooking in is a breeze. All you usually need is a name and a password. There are times, however, that you might want to tell your phone to "forget" a Wifi network. Maybe you don't want it to connect automatically, which for me is the case once I've landed on a plane, or gotten within sight of a Starbucks, even if I'm not going inside.

Verizon is giving you an extra GB with a new data plan

89

Verizon has announced that they will be including an extra gigabyte of data to customers who sign up for a new data plan. According to Verizon, you'll need to upgrade your phone or activate a smartphone on a More Everything plan with at least 1GB of data to get these free bits and bytes. This is in addition to the recent announcement of new 2GB single-line plans for $60 monthly that we heard about last week.

Your free gigabyte is recurring, and you'll get it every month for the life of your new contract. While it's not a lot of data, Verizon reminds us that it equals watching two movies, 2,000 visits to the Internet or 10 hours of live NFL games. Not bad for free!

This week's sidebar poll: Would you buy the Moto 360 for $250

moto 360

Is $250 the right price, if it is the right price?

Much speculation has been spent on the price of the coming-soon-we-hope Moto 360. An appearance on Best Buy's website over the weekend has lain much of it to the side, as the listed price is given at $250. We want to caution everyone that things which show up early on BestBuy.com aren't always final, and point you to the Droid Bionic as a perfect example. Having said that, the $250 price doesn't seem unreasonable. I think it's probably right.

So here we are. We have a price that may be correct, and it's not too high or too low to be impossible. If the $250 price sticks and that's the retail for the Moto 360, are you buying one?
