Teaser video sure makes it look like HTC's making some kind of camera

Weekly Photo Contest: Messy

4
 Messy

Things get messy, dirty, unmanageable and gross throughout life. Not everything out on the street is clean — but as long as you don't go picking up food off the sidewalk, you'll probably be just fine. We're looking for pictures this week that symbolize "messy," whether that's a dirty wall in an alley or maybe just an untamed garden in your backyard. We can't wait to see what you come up with this week to meet the prompt.

For your effort we're picking out two winners this week to win prizes. Each winner will get a Belkin Mini Surge Protector with 500mA USB Charger! A great travel accessory to have.

Entering is easy. Just drop your entry in a forums post at the link below. Tell us what Android you used to get the picture, and any back story you want to add to it. We'll pick a winner Tuesday (Sept 30) night at 11:59 PM ET, and announce them on the blog with next Wednesday's contest.

How to hide that annoying network name on the Moto X

41
Motorola Moto X — kill the network name

This one's not exactly new (you'll find it on the 2013 phone as well), but it's one of the first things you're going to want to do when you get your new Moto X, and so it's worth a reminder here. When you first boot up, you're going to see the name of the network you're on in the status bar up top. And you're going to wonder why it's sitting there, doing absolutely nothing of use. You bought the phone. You know damned well which network it's on.

Well, you can get rid of it. Here's how.

Yep, it's the new BlackBerry Passport. It's big, it's square, and we'll just have to wait and see if it matters a damn in the scheme of things. Or has business already moved on to Android and iOS?

Either way, be sure to swing by CB for the complete BlackBerry Passport review. It's an interesting read, to say the least.
