Speed through Rome in the latest Subway Surfers update

One of the more popular endless running games out there, Subway Surfers, has had a big update in time for Easter. Players can now run through the subways of Rome, and access a new local racer, Roberto. There are also weekly egg hunts with unique rewards, plus a new unlockable costume for Zoe and a new Kick-off board to earn. To top things off, there’s a fresh series of Spray Can Awards for rising to particularly tricky challenges.

Good news this morning for Kindle owners; it seems you're likely to be waking up to some changes in the way your cloud documents storage works that results in a combined 10GB of free Amazon Cloud Drive. We've received a tip that this is pushing out, and that the merger of 5GB of Kindle documents and 5GB of Amazon Cloud Drive is now amounting to a combined 10GB account that covers everything. Pretty neat.

Samsung Galaxy S5 launch day sales double the Galaxy S4 at one British retailer

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is the hot ticket right now, and British retailer, Phones 4U, sends word of just how hot the launch has been. It's in no way a surprise that a ton of people wanted the Galaxy S5, but Phones 4U has said that launch day sales were double that of its predecessor, the Galaxy S4.

Samsung's first Tizen phones launching in Q2 2014, Android remains 'main business'

Samsung's first Tizen powered smartphones are set to hit the market in Q2 of this year according to a report by Reuters. Yoon Han-kil, senior vice president of Samsung's product strategy team, said that the first phone to launch around the end of the second quarter will be a high end model, with the next a more mid-range effort. He also said that "Android still needs to be our main business."

UK unlocked HTC One receiving small update via big OTA download

Back in March, a 205MB update for the original HTC One M7 went out to a few users in mainliand Europe. It added support for more routers, which suggests there was a bug or two to fix, but it also replaced an existing Android 4.4.2 update that was pulled.

Glass update XE16 now rolling out

Glass XE16 update

XE16 is pushing out right now to Google Glass users. As we mentioned yesterday, this brings the platform to KitKat and has a handful of changes and new features.

First you'll be updated to XE 12.1, which gets things prepared for the real update, which comes right after. It's a big download and a long install, but things do change noticeably afterward.

Galaxy S5 now available from Ting for $597

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is available practically everywhere now, and from the major carriers in the U.S., but is also now making its way to prepaid carrier Ting. You'll be getting the same phone that's available everywhere else — this model's obviously similar to the Sprint one as Ting runs on that network — but with a bit lower bill than your standard postpaid carrier.
