Cut the Rope getting its own comic series ... on iTunes

5

Better not let ol' Lloyd hear about this -- the loveable Om Nom from Cut the Rope is getting his ... erm, its ... own digital comic series. If you've yet to play Cut the Rope, the premise is you have to get dangling candies into Om Nom's mouth. And it can be surprisingly difficult to do so.

Now, the bad news: The digital comic will launch in the iTunes App Store in late August. Lame. Here's what we'd do: Hit up facebook.com/cuttherope or get 'em on Twitter at @Cut_The_Rope and let 'em know we want some Om Nom comic love on Android soonest.

Or we'd settle for getting Lloyd his own gig.

Lucky Android Central reader gets his Motorola Photon a little early

11

What's 4.3 inches of Tegra 2 power, chock full of on-board storage, and sitting in Android Central reader Shawheim's pocket?  Why the Motorola Photon, of course.  It looks like he was lucky enough to come across someone selling a unit on the web, and like any self-respecting Android geek he jumped.  He was kind enough to post a handful of pictures and some initial thoughts in the forums, and while I don;t want to spoil anything, he says "its a BEAST!"

It's coming for the rest of us on July 31, but in the meantime we can all hang out in the Motorola Photon 4G forums and patiently wait.  Be sure to visit and check out all his pics!

Source: Android Central forumsThanks, Shawheim!

Sneak peek at the Droid Does Motorola Droid Bionic page points to a $299 price tag

110

Update: Not that anybody out there screaming this is a fake asked us, but this might shed a little light on things. Haters gonna hate.

Original: Well, well. What have we here? We've been handed what our tipster says is an early version of the Droid Does page for the Motorola Bionic. We're told it's set to go live the first week of August. Specs aren't any different than we've seen, but it's the price that's really standing out -- $299 on contract. That's gonna hurt. But we've been there before, haven't we.

Specs are said to be what we've already been told -- 4.3-inch pentile touchscreen at qHD resolution, TI OMAP 4430 dual-core processor at 1GHz, 1GHz DDR2 RAM clocked at 1066 MHz, that whole Motorola Webtop thing, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera. We also get its height and weight statistics -- 2.66 inches wide, 4.95 inches tall and 0.52 inches thick, weighing 5.56 ounces. (Let's hope they fix that whole length-width-height thing before launch.)

So, that's what we've got. Last-minute changes to this sort of thing aren't unheard of, but we're certainly getting closer to launch, it seems, and remember that leaked screen from Sam's Club pointing to Aug. 4. Stay tuned, folks.

More: Droid Bionic forums; Thanks anon!

Rogers Samsung Infuse 4G gets priced at $150 by Future Shop

5

Rogers has been on a roll as of late when it comes to updating their Android line-up of devices. Last night in Toronto they held the launch party for the Samsung Infuse 4G and today, Future Shop has outed the pricing of the soon-to-be released device. $149 is what you'll be looking at should you decide to agree to a new 3-year contract but if contracts aren't really your thing, then you'll be looking to hand over $550.  That said; keep in mind the Samsung Galaxy S II is starting to arrive at Bell and Virgin Mobile retail shops all across Canada and only costs $50 more off contract.
