Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 coming to AT&T June 6

AT&T has announced it will be the first wireless carrier to sell Samsung's Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 tablet, along with the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, starting on June 6. The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has a 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor, along with 16 GB of internal storage. That amount can be expanded by up to 16 GB in additional memory. It also has an 6,800 mAh battery that is supposed to last up to nine hours.

Ahead of an official announcement of Samsung's rumored Galaxy Tab S series, we now have what appears to be official press images of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. It appears that Samsung is keeping the design language of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 consistent with the flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone and with the previously leaked Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet.

The last time we saw the Asus Padfone X, it was locked inside a glass case. Tonight in New York City, AT&T and Asus finally let us get our hands on them. The Padfone X is a new smartphone and tablet hybrid that will be available to pre-order from AT&T online or in stores on June 6th for $199 with a two-year agreement. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz quad-core CPU, 16GB of on-board storage with a Micro SD slot, and runs Android KitKat 4.4.

Samsung's upcoming tablet series, the Galaxy Tab S, will allegedly feature a fingerprint scanner that is similar in functionality to the one used in the Galaxy S5. In addition to the fingerprint scanner, the tablets will come with a battery saver mode that debuted on the Samsung's latest flagship, called Ultra Power Saving Mode.

LG brought its new tablets to its G3 party

A couple of weeks ago, LG announced three new additions to the G Pad range – a 7-, 8- and a 10.1-inch offering. At the grand LG G3 Day showpiece event in London, the new tablets were on show and so we got chance to spend a little time taking a look at each of them.

The internal hardware is very much the same across all three, and with a Snapdragon 400 inside we're not looking at the absolute cutting edge in terms of hardware performance. There is a HD display on board – though not 1080p – Android 4.4 KitKat and some elements of LG's latest user interface, with some visual elements straight out of the G3.

This is image that's been posted onto the Google I/O 2014 website, and has been making the rounds today as Google somehow being dumb enough to accidentally leak an unannounced product in an official production. Just take a moment to note the placement of the front-facing speakers, the volume rocker at the bottom corner, and the gentle curve of the sides.
