The Sprint Prepaid brand will now have three new monthly plans, all of which offer its customers unlimited talk and text. The cheapest is now priced at $35 a month with 1 GB of data, followed by $45 a month with 3 GB of data and $55 a month for 6 GB of data.

Panasonic's Lumix CM1 stuffs a giant 1-inch sensor into an Android smartphone

Panasonic did not fare well in the consumer smartphone segment with its Eluga line of devices, and now the Japanese manufacturer is trying something different with its latest offering, the Lumix CM1. Dubbed a "connected camera", the Lumix CM1 is an Android smartphone targeted at imaging enthusiasts and sports a protruding sensor similar to that of Samsung's camera-centric devices like the Galaxy K Zoom.

Android One launches in India, expands to other nations this year

Google announced the launch of the Android One platform in India today, with the first set of low-cost devices now available for purchase in the country. While India is the first country where users get to experience Android One, Google has announced that the program will be making its way to Indonesia, the Philippines and South Asia (Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka) by the end of the year, with more countries set to follow in 2015.

Along with an international expansion, Google is adding more manufacturers to the fray, which sees the likes of Acer, Alcatel Onetouch, ASUS, HTC, Intex, Lava, Lenovo, Panasonic and Xolo launching Android One smartphones in the near future. Google has also partnered with Qualcomm, highlighting the possibility of a Snapdragon-enabled Android One handset, which may even be the LTE-enabled Snapdragon 210, seeing as how Qualcomm is targeting the $100 segment with its latest SoC.
