We love keeping track of T-Mobile's 3G Rollout for you guys because we sincerely believe that having 3G immensely enhances the user experience. And though we would much rather have T-Mobile roll it out in every big city already, that's just not feasible. So we'll tough it out together. T-Mobile 3G is going to come to everyone (eventually!).

According to the latest leaked report, citizens of New Orleans, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Nashville, Salt Lake City, and St Louis, MO will be receiving T-Mobile 3G this quarter. Wow, we weren't aware that such big cities were still without T-Mobile 3G! Hopefully, it'll roll out soon enough because you all definitely deserve it.

We're not really sure how we feel about Google Wave yet, but if it really shapes up to be how e-mail would be if it was invented today, count us in. Plus, we pretty much love anything Google puts out so Google Wave should really be no exception.

And after a big announcement for Google Wave at Google I/O, it's been relatively quiet on that front (with Chrome OS taking over the news). But fear no more, Google will (soft) launch Google Wave in September, offering 100,000 invites to whoever signs up here. It's already been rolled out to developers so when it launches in September, we'll actually have some semblance of what Wave is capable of.

The most exciting aspect of the HTC Hero has to be the HTC Sense UI, it's jaw droppingly beautiful and offers a completely brand new experience for Android. We've been watching any video that featured the HTC Sense and have been hoping to see it on other Android devices in the future. And though we were disappointed when we heard that neither the G1 or myTouch 3G will be receiving the Sense UI, we didn't give up hope. We were pretty certain that the wonderful users over at xda developer forum would cook up something usable for us.

And boy they have! Head on over to see the detailed instructions on how to port the Sense UI onto your T-Mobile G1. It's rather intensive and obviously risky, but the joys of using Sense may be worth it. We're highly contemplating fixing this one up on our G1. Did anyone do this to their G1 yet? What makes the T-Mobile myTouch 3G marginally unique, when compared to all the other Magics across the world at least, is T-Mobile's involvement in promoting applications that'll make your Android experience that much better (oh, and the personalization). Luckily, we now know which apps T-Mobile believes as must-downloads since their myTouch "AppPack" has been leaked and is even available for download (for the time being, at least).

It comes to no surprise that most of the applications recommended by T-Mobile in the "AppPack" are actual T-Mobile applications. We're expecting this to be made available when the myTouch 3G officially releases and crossing our fingers that it'll be offered to T-Mobile G1 users as well.

HTC has long been Android's biggest supporter and with Windows Mobile stagnating, it makes a lot of sense for HTC to expand their Android portfolio and push out more HTC Android devices. So it comes to no one surprise when reports say that HTC will focus on more Android devices in 2010. What is surprising though, is the extent of that focus. Digitimes is reporting that 50% of HTC's 2010 product portfolio will be Android handsets. That's a definite leap from the three current Android devices (Dream, Magic, Hero).

If this report proves to be true, and we don't see a reason for it not to be, HTC will have a considerable lead over other Android phone makers. Whereas everyone else's Android plans are under wraps, HTC will have a whole portfolio to offer. And judging by how in less than a year's time, HTC has already custom built the beautiful new Sense UI on top of Android, that experience will surely pay off. The best, most unique, and powerful Android devices will likely be made by HTC. They'll have earned it.

We've already seen the Motorola Morrison Android Phone before so this picture isn't exactly groundbreaking, but any news regarding Moto and Android basically excites us to no end so we had to pass on the news. Unlike the previous snapshot of the Morrison, this picture actually showcases Android being run on the phone. There's little doubt that this oddly color coordinated phone will run Android.

Taking a closer look at the picture reveals more: there's a T-Mobile logo on the bottom right edge of the screen which along with the T-Mobile Android roadmap, all but confirms the Motorola Morrison as headed to T-Mobile. The black face of the screen looks 'higher end' than the original 'white face' which just looked silly to be honest. We could do without the blue but hey, you can't win 'em all.

In the end, as much as we love the idea of Moto and Android together, we're definitely more excited for both the Motorola Calgary and Ironman, two other Motorola devices expected to run Android. This Motorola Morrison, though a solid effort, seems to be targeted towards text-heavy teenagers, not exactly our demographic. We want the real Motorola. What do you guys think?

The HTC Click, HTC's purported low end Android phone, has been reportedly caught in pictures and it looks rather swell. Obviously, a low end, entry level type device won't win any design awards but if the pictures are real, we think that HTC did everything that's expected in such a device. The hardware buttons seem to be standard fare but the circular d-pad is an interesting new look, perhaps that's where the 'click' moniker comes from? We would love pressing down on that glorious target.

The real news is what will determine how "low end" this Android phone will be. We would imagine just pricing the T-Mobile G1 down to $99 or even $79 could solve the vacuum for a low end Android phone but reports show that the HTC Click may even go as low as to include a resistive touchscreen. Ew.

Perhaps HTC's plan is to offer a terrible Android experience in order to spur upgrades to the G1, myTouch 3G, and Hero? Just joking. Kind of.

The rumors regarding the HTC Hero's delay have been grossly exaggerated. Though T-Mobile UK and Germany still won't release the HTC Hero until August, Orange UK has officially launched the HTC Hero and it's available today. The HTC Hero is available in graphite for the low, low price of free (with qualifying monthly plan).

Prepare for an influx of pictures and videos detailing the Hero very, very soon. Which one of our UK friends are buying an HTC Hero?

Google Checkout has been the only payment option available in Android Market for quite some time and though it's been a wonderful conduit to make payments for applications, it's always better for developers, users, and Google to offer more options. Therefore, Google is going to be offering more payment options to purchase applications in Android Market. One option detailed will be to add purchases directly to your monthly carrier bill (which could actually be a bad thing).

The new payment options are said to be a part of an effort to make Android less 'Google-centric'. Which makes sense, having non-Google options definitely lessen Google's grips over Android and will hopefully get more users to download applications in Android Market, which means more developers will develop for Android, which means Android becomes even more successful. All great things in our book.

And though we'll probably stick with our Google Checkout method for purchasing applications in Android Market, it'll definitely be worthwhile to see what the other options are, if only for the sake of seeing them. Hey, Android is all about the options, right?

Gizmodo is speculating that Google will eventually bring their new desktop OS, Chrome OS, to their current OS, Android's, space--smartphones. We can't argue with them either, Android and Chrome OS seem to be on a collision course that we'll definitely be hearing about more in the future.

Gizmodo bases their theory off the quotes from Google VP of Engineering Vic Gundotra's quotes at Mobilebeat 2009. He stated that web development will be the future for successful mobile platforms, and what do you know, the web is Chrome OS's moneymaker.

With Google's belief that the web/browser holds the key to mobile success, whatever OS that offers the best web/browser experience would likely be considered the leader of the pack. Whether that is Android or Chrome OS is too early to tell but it seems Google will be happy either way--more people on the web simply means more Google users which simply means more money in big Google's pockets.

We're hopeful that Chrome OS will stay away from smartphones but its good influence and innovation will find its way to Android. Yeah, we want to have our cake and eat it too. What do you guys think?
