Both of these high-end Android phones have captured the imagination of enthusiasts and technology fans since their announcement, and now both are widely available to buy in the U.S. So there's no avoiding the issue any longer — the Android Central editors are going to have to choose between the G3 and the M8.

The Sony Xperia Z1 on Rogers in Canada is getting an update to Android 4.4.4. The Xperia Z1 has been certified for an update to 4.4.4 since last month with unlocked phones getting the update then, but it's now Rogers' turn.
SNK Playmore's King of Fighters series is a long-running and fairly well known series of fighting games that prides itself on huge and ever-changing character rosters. Now the game itself has changed genre in the new spin-off The Rhythm of Fighters for Android.
ROF is a rhythm game featuring music from a variety of classic SNK games. As you tap along to the music, your character will slug it out with an opponent in a unique combination of the fighting and rhythm genres. With a lengthy arcade mode and 14 songs for the initial price of 99 cents, plus extra song packs available via In-App Purchase, this game will keep SNK fans a-tapping for some time to come.
Hilton Worldwide Holdings is prepping for a major technology update in its 4,200 hotel locations that could allow customers to do things such as open their hotel rooms with an Android smartphone app as early as 2015.

Powermat and Cadillac today announced that the 2015 Cadillac ATS (and the 2014 Escalade as well) will have Powermat wireless charging installed when the car launches this fall. That is, you place your phone on a rubber pad, and it charges. No having to plug it in, and you can charge while connected to your car via Bluetooth. Which is nice.
Or, rather, it would be nice. If you actually had a device that used the Powermat standard.
Amazon has launched a new section of its retail website where customers can customize and purchase a number of 3D printed products, including items such as cases, holders and stands for smartphones and tablets.
The Nokia X line of devices is recieving a sofware update which adds a number of new features and enhancements. These include a number of pre-installed Microsoft services, as well as a new app switcher.
T-Mobile is launching a new plan aimed at families of four. Beginning this Wednesday, July 30, customers will be able to set up a four-line Simple Choice plan with 10GB of data for $100 per month. Unlike plans on other carriers where that data would be shared, on T-Mobile each line will get 2.5GB of high-speed data. The offer will be available until 2016.
Telltale Games has announced the studio will be developing Season 3 for its Walking Dead series of games. Unfortunately, while details are non-existent as to what will be contained in the game, as well as a release date, it's pleasing for fans to know that Season 3 will be coming to supporting platforms.
