The Motorola CLIQ was spotted yesterday for the low, low price of free (with qualifying contract). The CLIQ comes in either Winter White or Midnight Titanium and was supposedly also being offered for $399.99 without contract. Though no one could 'add the CLIQ to cart', a free Android phone would be an exciting prospect.

In the end, we're not sure if this price is going to stick, we're fairly certain T-Mobile would still like to squeeze a bit of money out of us, so we wouldn't get our hopes to high. But a free Motorola CLIQ? Talk about game changer.

MOTOBLUR is billed as the first and only solution to sync contacts, posts, messages, photos and much more--from sources such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Gmail, other e-mail--and deliver them to your phone. Think of it as a Super Social Network on your smartphone.

MOTOBLUR includes the use of live widgets, which will show you:

• Happenings: View all your social site updates in one spot with the live Happenings application. Every friend feed, status update, wall post, bulletin and photo upload is automatically delivered and ready for immediate reply, any way you like.

There's also a Universal Contact List that automatically syncs your contacts from your email clients and your social network accounts. What's cool is that when a contact changes their photo, status, or contact details it's automatically updated on your phone. And to combine it all together, when you receive a phone call from a friend, their latest profile picture and status update is shown on your phone's screen. It pretty much combines your world in social networks onto your phone.

Your data--contacts, log-in, email, and social network messages--is kept saved on a secure server through MOTOBLUR. Even if you do lose your CLIQ, you'll have the ability to pinpoint its location and remote wipe all of the data. Your MOTOBLUR account will stay relevant even in future Motorola Android phones, simply enter your account details and you won't even skip a beat.

After the presentation, the execs from Motorola, Goole, and T-Mobile were kind enough to provide some glamour shots of the new CLIQ. After the break, six more up-close-and-personal images of the phone!

Here's the Motorola CLIQ, in perfect detail. The CLIQ is Motorola's first official entry into the Android game and it looks like it'll be a good one. Judging from the press shots, we feel that the CLIQ is loads better than the prototype Morrison and a solid effort overall. Available on T-Mobile in the fourth quarter, T-Mobile and Motorola both expect the CLIQ to sell a ton of units.

The CLIQ will come in two color options: Winter White and Titanium and will have a 3.1 inch 320x480 screen along with the usual slew of 3G, WiFi, 5 megapixel camera, and such.

T-Mobile and Motorola have just announced the Motorola CLIQ, Motorola's first foray into the Android game, which will come to T-Mobile in the US during the 4th quarter of 2009.  The CLIQ is an Android phone (that we all once knew as the Morrison) sporting a horizontal slide out keyboard (yes!). Official details on the specs are thin, but we do know that it has the usual smartphone specs:

• 3G, WiFi
• 5 megapixel camera
• 24 fps video recording
• 3.5 mm headset jack

The CLIQ's primary differentiator is that it will feature the MOTOBLUR service, which deeply integrates multiple social networking services into all corners of the device.

Outside the US, the CLIQ will be known as the "Dext" and available in 2010.  Motorola also said that they intend to announce more Android devices in the coming months.

Motorola just announced MOTOBLUR, an Android based UI that places a large emphasis on social networking. From what we know so far, MOTOBLUR is:

• A set of social networking widgets
• Deep integration of social networking services into the Android OS
• Online backup, restore, and remote wipe
• Integrated contacts and email ala Synergy

The service looks to be very compelling. You have Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace statuses all updateable at once and also populated everywhere on the device. Getting a call? See their latest Facebook profile photo and their latest Facebook status (or Twitter, or whatever) pop up as the Caller ID.  Tap on a contact and see their entire social network history right within the address book. It's a very comprehensive take on all your social networks.

Furthermore, it looks like it'll be a joy to use--HTC Sense watch your back.

In addition, MOTOBLUR offers an online backup service that allows you to log in and track your phone's location if you lose it, and then remotely wipe it if it's clear that it's gone astray.

The first device to take advantage of MOTOBLUR will be the T-Mobile CLIQ in the US.  More on that in a moment!
