The all-new PlayStation 5 is officially available for purchase, but finding a retailer that actually has stock of the new console available to buy isn't such an easy task just yet. With that being said, there are still plenty of opportunities to pick up the new PlayStation 5 or the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition if you give it just a bit of time and know where to keep looking.
As of August 2021, we're noticing that the PlayStation 5 still typically goes out of stock on the same day as it becomes available for purchase at most major online retailers. While that outlook may seem grim, the bright side is that retailers are consistently receiving stock of the console and you generally don't have to wait too long before they return in stock somewhere.
Sony's new consoles have been on the market since November 12, 2020, but demand is still quite high and keeping stock near impossible to locate. Keep checking back if the pages say "Sold Out," and we'll do our best to keep you informed about all the places you can try.

Amazon's main landing page for PlayStation 5 content includes links to individual product pages for the consoles and accessories, making it a good resource if you don't know about the accessories just yet. Some are now available to purchase too, though finding the consoles in stock here is a bit more difficult.
Target
Target is where you should purchase the PlayStation 5 when given the chance, since there's a way you can actually save up to $25 on its purchase there when you check out using the RedCard. There's a free debit version with no fees that every Target shopper should have, and if you sign up now, you might be able to use it the next time the PS5 is in stock here.
Best Buy
Best Buy has several PlayStation 5 bundles to consider, along with both the PlayStation 5 and the Digital Edition consoles. This is also a good retailer to find the latest PS5 accessories like the new DualSense controller and the Pulse 3D wireless headset.
GameStop
GameStop's one of the best retailers to find the PlayStation 5 in stock right now. You'll often see bundles appear too, though you'll have to be quick if you want to snag a console from here. Some may only be available for in-store pickup too.
Walmart
Walmart is a great place to look whether you're on the hunt for the PlayStation 5, controllers, other accessories and, of course, video games. Keep an eye on the landing page if you don't want to miss out the next time the console becomes available here.
