Best Cases For Galaxy Note 7

I have the S View case, and I like the concept, but it has a few issues that I don't like. First, the material is a little slick, so I'm afraid it'll slip out of my hand. Second, it won't work in my car dock. Third, the plastic window is an absolute fingerprint magnet, and when you're using the case with the cover open, you can't help but get fingerprints on the inside of the window. And finally, the cover doesn't close securely all the time, so it ends up opening up, or I have to finesse it to get the cover closed, which is more effort than I want to deal with numerous times a day (to be fair, it might be because it's new and will get better as it's used).

I ended up ordering a case from Carved.com, and I'm using it on the phone now. I had one of their handmade wood cases on my old phone, too. I like the style of the case, and I like supporting a small USA company that makes a quality product.

The newer version of the Samsung flip case has been improved greatly . The earlier ones used to scratch the screen the new ones don't

All you fire jokers are hilarious.

Posted from my unlocked S7 Active/ stealth black Note 7/ peerless Note 4/ or iPad Pro 12.9

And you shouldn't quit you day job... Cause your not funny. Just a annoying troll that likes to frequent Samsung's forms I've often wondered what is that makes your guys want to do that, is jealousy, envy, boredom ah hell maybe all of them. It's not healthy man, let it go

A Sammie fanboy imbecile like you wouldn't find my witty humor funny. You're just a sad little baboon who's highlight in your dismal life is buying an overpriced explosive Note 7 and you need constant validation from others that you bought the right smart phone. How sad.

Donatodec, you're really starting to sound like you have something personal against a cell phone company and that's just as sad as Pugh being a fanboi. Troll and fanboi are about the same level of stupid.

Why do you get so offended by their jokes Pugh? You know the Note 7 is a great phone and so do I. Who cares if they have a bit of fun about the fires and explosions? It's not like it wasn't true right? Some of the jokes can even be funny.

I love my Note 7 as well as my other tech and I don't care if people joke about it. It changes absolutely nothing about what a great device the replacement is.

Posted from my unlocked S7 Active/ stealth black Note 7/ peerless Note 4/ or iPad Pro 12.9

I do have something against Sammie. The note 5 had the worst battery performance of any phone I've had. I guess batteries just aren't Sammie's thing. They sell overpriced garbage and i base that on user experience. Phillie is a Sammie fanboy who is easily offended and no doubt lives in mommy's basement.

For a guy that hates Samsung products you sure do a lot of hanging around in there forums . Sound like you need a hug ,are a note 7 haha. Oh and by the way your not required to buy a Samsung phones see just that easy now buy something different and move on hope that helps you

Hey you had a note 5 that didn't meet you needs... Soooo,, who cares get over yourself man pick yourself up and stop filling sorry . Samsung can't hear you and nether do they care to just saying sucks to be bitter

I agree 100% that the Note 5 was garbage. Removing the sd card slot, sealing the pitiful battery, removing the ir blaster, basically destroying what the the Note was expected to be.

The Note 7 is an amazing departure from that though. I still long for a removable battery but the battery life I'm getting is amazing. I still long for the return of the ir blaster but there truly isn't any other comparable device available now that I can think of.

Posted from my unlocked S7 Active/ stealth black Note 7/ peerless Note 4/ or iPad Pro 12.9

The battery life has been nothing Short of amazing and I'll agree my note 5 although I loved the build . The battery was less then stellar . The IR blaster hum as a long time Samsung user it's always been just a novelty to me others my differ . The removable battery well I like most never really thought about much and I never purchased a replacement battery but to a small few it is important. . Just give me a all day battery and I'm satisfied the n7 gives me that in spades

You and I are the only honest people who agree the Note 5 I'd garbage. If you are a heavy user you will be lucky to get 2.5 hours SOT. Pathetic.

Yep your the only one so there now stop your crying about a phone that you bought last year. There plenty of AC readers that love there note 5 so much so they bought the note 7 .

I recommend a concrete case with a stylus shaped like a fire extinguisher...you may not be able to see the screen, but at least your property will remain safe...just saying...

It doesn't offer much in the way of protection, but the Spigen Thin Fit case is my favorite.

It looks great, and maintains the elogant look of the phone.

You sound jealous ,and you thought the note 7 was going away Na , and it'll still out sell any Nexus phone ..now that's pretty sad. wait it already has 2.5 million sold

Nope just pointing out the obvious that mostly nerds buy nexus phones oh and those that actually want a Samsung but can't afford it

And you're no better than iPhone sheep. You overpaid for a garbage device and now you need the validation of others who use superior technology.

Im looking for a holster case that the edge function works. Platinum sold at best buy is a nice one but no edge function In portrait mode and in landscape to drop down menu doesn't work .And they want forty bucks for it.

Two overpriced Sammy cases and then Amazon **** cases. Why is every damn "case" article the same from AC? No Speck, no Incipio, nothing high end but obligatory manufacturer cases.

I have the Samsung LED cover and it is very cool. You don't know that the LEDs are there unless you get a call, message or want to check the battery level.
I also have the camera lens cover for times when I want a camera available but don't want to carry a bulky camera. There is a Wide Angle lenses that's very nice and a 2X telephoto, that I wish was longer.

Have both the Spigen leather wallet and Spigen hybrid duo case. Both work with screen protectors. Leather wallet holds 3 cards and built in kickstand. Also the casing around the phone is more like a case and protection than most wallet cases.

The duo hybrid is slim and i love it too. I switch between both cases.

Not a good list IMHO. Here's mine:

1. UAG for casual/rugged use.
2. Tumi flip for business/formal use.
3. Samsung OEM Leather Case for everyday use.

That Spigen case in the article is to slippery. Caseology has a similar one with better texture for grip. I just got a Spigen thin armor credit card case. Not much bulk and can store 2 cards n a single bill easily.

I CAME HERE TO MAKE THAT EXACT JOKE IN THOSE EXACT WORDS lol. I figured I better check to be sure I wasn't the 10th person to say it haha.

It's because the joke isn't funny. Yes they exploded.. It was funny last month, now it's just lame and expected.

Nope not funny never was only to the trolls and Sammy haters was it funny, most are getting there new replacement and have moved on maybe you haters should do the same

I've been looking at Caseology. Their designs are better, not sure about durability though. I'll check out the cases on Amazon and eBay.

I ordered from Samsung the LED case. I have used in the past the SView flip cases. Might get one of those as well. Like improvements made to them.
I like my screen covered when not in use. These cases work well for me.

I have had otter boxes with previous phones. All resulted in the rubber becoming loose and flimsy. With my LG G3 i got the unicorn beetle case. By far the base case I have ever had. With be getting the same case for my note 7.

Yes they do,and look for them at Best buy under their house brand "poetic".$40.00 for holster and case with the plus being that the holster includes a very handy kickstand.

Posted via the Android Central App

Well there basing it on the past history of how well the brand held up . You can't go wrong with spigen cases and otter personally I like my cases thin

Posted via my note 5 are gs7 edge

Bought mine as soon as i got my N7 and kept it until I received my replacement... the SupCase was inexpensive but offers good protection - I figured i could use it until the Otterbox Defender came into stock (with price decrease) and with enough reviews that you can judge if it was worth purchasing.

I just ordered the all black speck candy shell grip case for my black onyx Note7.

Waiting on Note7 to ship...

I personally like kickstand cases. Ordered VRS design clear kickstand case and VRS design coral blue brushed metal look. 12 and 11$

S7 edge...Soon to be Note 7 edge

If you're going to say "best" cases,I think people might expect to see OtterBox,speck,tech21,etc.,instead of mostly low end cases before you get to a few proprietary Samsung cases.

Posted via the Android Central App

I use a rooCase wallet case with a removable magnetic inner case for a few reasons.. While I like the convenience of a wallet case, some times it gets in the way and the magnetic inner case makes for an easy removal; wireless charging works fine through the magnetic inner case, but won't work through the outer wallet portion, and the quick removal also makes it easier to place the phone into a car / dash holder without the semi-bulky wallet getting in the way. the other cool use for the magnetic inner, is that it will allow me to stick my phone to any metal surface.. the side of a filing cabinet next to my desk, or the front of the fridge while I'm cooking, etc. So far the magnet hasn't had any negative effect on the magnetic strip in my debit card, and all my credit cards are linked into Samsung pay, so I have no need to carry them

The case is made for most all of the recent top end phones, but not het available for the note 7.. here is a link for the s7 edge case that I use:

rooCASE Prestige Detachable Leather
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BG2ELAK/?tag=androidcentralb-20&asc...

..my other favorite is a clear case with internal bumper and kickstand (I just wish the kisckstand was lower for portrait use, as it only works in landscape):

OBLIQ Premium Naked Shield
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BAUMUTW/?tag=androidcentralb-20&asc...

I've heard cases with magnets effect the screen sensitivity with note phones when you use the stylus - even after you stop using the magnetic case. Have you had any issues with this problem?

Yes the magnet interferes with the screen and pen... It created a dead zone... found a nice cheap leather case on Amazon but sadly had to send it back.

If they would just create a case that covered the edge screens so that it ended up looking like a normal flat screen I would upgrade to the 7

Posted via the Android Central App

Agree fully. That's what kept me from getting the 7 Edge and what will from the Note.

Posted via the Android Central App

The IR blaster, the removable battery, and the flat screen. All gone and not coming back. Whining isn't going to change it.

They dont have to bring it back. Sammys guard dog. Im talking about a case to cover the edges. No one os crying except for you crying about people posting there opinions that are negitive to the design.

Posted via the Android Central App

Everyone said SD cards were gone, but enough people posted comments on sites like this that they brought them back. If enough people post that they want flat screens then they may bring them back too.

Posted via the Android Central App

They only brought the SD card back because it is cheaper to produce one base model (64gb) And let you expand it rather then going the apple route and produce a 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, models. And only have one or two variants sell well and have a bunch of unwanted stock laying on their shelves. I highly doubt they listened to the customer on this but rather listened to their potential profit margins.

Best buy sells a holster case made by platinum that the edge functions don't work. When in landscape you can't even pull the dropdown menu. But I loved it on my note 3.

Case makers get the specs to the phones long before they release the the actual so when a phone launches there are cases ready to buy immediately.

How does the case affect wireless charging?

I'm thinking the Spigen case with a kickstand myself. I had that on my Note 3, didn't get it for my Note 4 and kicked myself. Will definitely be getting it for my Note 7.

I have an OtterBox defender on my Note 5 and Fast wireless charging works fine. Its just a little More finicky on finding The Sweet Spot

Posted via the Android Central App

I have the SupCase and it works fine with the fast wireless charging. I also like that you put on the front frame first - and it holds your screen protector in place.

Unfortunately that case completely hides the beauty of the Note 7. It makes it looks like just any other random Samsung phone.

Posted from my unlocked S7 Active/ stealth black Note 7/ peerless Note 4/ or iPad Pro 12.9

They dont have it listed here, but on the official Samsung list is a clear cover, looks like the one for the S7 Edge, i have had it since week 1, pretty great

I'd have gone with Spigen's Ultra-Thin Liquid Crystal one instead of the Obliq... that bar on the bottom of the back, ugh! If at least it didn't have that ugly text on it! Just as ugly as Verizon's tramp-stamp :( And too bad, too, because they DO have a 'transparent' blue coral one :(
