It appears that Facebook isn't ready to give up on its Snapchat competitor yet. The company announced version 2.0 of its Slingshot app today, which heralds a complete redesign of the way it works. The app essentially now works like Snapchat's 'stories' feature, with photos sticking around for 24 hours. The twist is that users can choose to respond to individuals photos from the story.

Literary adventure game 80 Days will soon be making its way to Android devices. The game takes the form of an interactive novel following the 80-day attempt of Phileas Fogg to go around the world. The game uses an art deco style and steampunk trappings in order to immerse the play in its world. The game will be available on the Google Play Store, as well as the Amazon Appstore on December 16.

After first launching for iOS earlier this year, Wargaming.net has now made its World War II-themed game World of Tanks Blitz available for Android devices today via the Google Play Store, along with support for cross-platform multiplayer with its iOS counterpart.

There's some good news for, well, news junkies on Android today. Google has rolled out an update to its News & Weather app that brings a number of awesome new features including curated stories from your favorite publishers, a new dark theme, new weather graphs, and searchable news.
