As you give reviews and tips on venues, your Expertise will rise and your input will be given more importance, and you can choose friends or trusted reviewers to follow and see their picks in your search results.
If you're preparing to visit a new place, you can browse restaurants and save interesting venues for later, making sure that you don't forget to hit up that little hole-in-the-wall with the best darn short ribs this side of the Mississippi. Foursquare will even try to guess what you're in the mood for, which can be extra helpful if you have absolutely no clue what you want to eat. They also have more specific classifications for many type of meals and tastes to help you further narrow down your criteria for a killer dinner spot, and they'll share which of those tastes are nearby when you open the app.
