Weekly Photo Contest: Night

Nighttime doesn't have to be boring or bland, and this week's contest entries show that well

The photo contests keep on coming, and each week we receive dozens of fantastic entries. This week we were looking for "night" photographs, and there was no shortage of interesting pictures and perspectives taken in very low light situations.

This week took an extre-special picture to win as we were tasked with picking just a single photo to win an unlocked BLU Life One X phone. Hit the break and see who won this week and what picture got them the prize.

Winner of a BLU Life One X, Bsheedy!

Weekly Photo Contest: Night Winner

We love how many layers there are to this photo. Between the dark, ice-covered tree in the foreground to the single lamp post in the middle and soft houses in the background, it provides a lot of depth to a picture that may otherwise be very flat because of the low contrast. This shot was taken with an LG G2 in night mode, and it turned out amazingly.

Keep an eye on your doorstep and mailboxes for a package, the BLU Life One X is on its way!

Thanks again to everyone else who entered, and keep your eyes peeled for the next photo contest. We want the chance to give away more great prizes to everyone, so keep taking pictures and entering them!

Wow! Fantastic photo.
The colors, texture, depth, and composition. Those footprints are the icing on the cake. Well done, Bsheedy

Andrew, I happen to notice that over half of the "Photo contest winners" covering the last 20 months have won with photos of Seattle (or places within the greater Seattle area). Not a dig so much as an observation. I grew up in Seattle and share your bias.

So basically, I have a better than 50% chance of being considered if I submit photos of Seattle. cool!
