It would appear that some spy photos of the Android G2 from HTC have been leaked. If these are real, they reveal a sleeker, shinier, and slimmed-down G2. This device is allegedly sporting a 3.2 megapixel camera and it is minus one keyboard. Availability of this bad boy is predicted to be mid-May, so until then or until something else rears it's green 'droid head, the "second Android handset" drought will continue. If the software keyboard is on par with the likes of the iPhone, I would welcome a keyboard-less device. What about you?

Honestly the reason why i purchased the G1 was because it has a great keyboard and it reminded me of a Sidekick but grown up. So without a keyboard I think I'm going to stick with my G1.

yeah, the keyboard might be a deal breaker for me to, but if its any where as good as the iphone's, it might be worth a look. the above picture looks a heck of a lot like the leaked picture of the "saphire" which was speculated to be an android device. i guess that lends some credence to the other leaked photos; in which case we can look forward to an exciting year from htc...

I need a real keyboard so this design is not for me. Dropping the keyboard should have some advantages such as a lighter unit or space for a slightly bigger battery. I would like to see something along the lines of the BlackBerry Bold running Android.

I have to second and third that, a keyboard is a must for me too. If the HTC model doesn't come with one then I'll be hoping one of the other Android devices that come out this year will have one.

I don't understand. If you want a htc phone to work john, I don't understand if you want a htc phone that works like an iPhone, then just buy an iPhone.

[...] ridiculously similar to the device previously known as the Sapphire. If you didn’t know, the Sapphire was reported to be the fabled G2, so if G2=Sapphire and Sapphire=Magic…that must mean the Magic is the next G2? That does [...]

[...] But currently, the only smartphone that runs Android is the T-Mobile G1. Sure, there have been rumors, reports, and pictures about the T-Mobile G2 (code name: Sapphire) but at this point in time, nothing else exists for Android other than the T-Mobile [...]

Same here reminds me of a sidekick plus its touch screen along with a keyboard. Now if the G2 has no keyboard why would I want I? I could have kept my iPhone. I'll keep my G1...
