LG G3 owners in Canada should start looking for a big software update. LG has announced that the Android 5.0 Lollipop over-the-air rollout has begun for the smartphone in the Great White North.

LG Canada's press announcement didn't offer any specific information on when the Lollipop update would begin for specific carriers in that country, such as Bell, Fido, MTS, Rogers, Sasktel, Videotron and Virgin Mobile Canada. As usual with over-the-air updates, it may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks before all Canadian LG G3 owners can grab the Lollipop download.

The Lollipop update started becoming available for the LG G3 in Europe in December. The US has also started seeing the update for the phone, beginning with AT&T and Sprint's versions earlier this month.
